Special request: Sumner School Asks for Your Help
WAPA has been using Sumner School as its venue for meetings for many years now, and it is currently one of the very few organizations that still is allowed to meet there despite their budget cutbacks. The school is committed to helping low-income elementary and middle-school students across DC get off to a good start this year.
The school is currently seeking donations of school supplies of all types. Please consider donating unneeded materials or purchasing some to contribute.
WAPA will have a box available at our fall kick-off party for your donations, or you can take them directly to the school. Sumner School will be accepting supplies through September 30th. Details can be found in
this letter from the Sumner School.
