The Social and Economic Analysis (SEA) Branch of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in partnership with the USGS Land and Remote Sensing Program are excited to announce a GS9 Social Scientist term position in the Fort Collins Science Center, Fort Collins, Colorado. The SEA Branch is responsible for planning and conducting research related to the management of the Nation’s natural resources through the development of knowledge about human interactions with the environment.

The SEA Branch is seeking a social scientist to be part of our Human Dimensions of Earth Observation team. In addition to qualification requirements stated in the USAJOBS - Job Announcement, Specialized Experience for this position is defined as experience in planning and carrying out social science projects in the context of remote sensing data, satellite imagery, or similar geospatial application that includes: conducting targeted literature reviews; preparing summary technical reports of literature; and communicating scientific and technical information via the internet and presentations.
