Brookside Gardens Tour and Picnic

First Destination: Brookside Gardens Tour
Time: 10:45 am to meet tour guides and fellow WAPA members

Cost: $5 per person

Registration:  Please register so we will know how many people to expect for the tour.

Parking:  There are two entrances to Brookside.  The main one is closed for ongoing renovations, but the one by the greenhouse is open and has limited parking.  Alternatively, you can park at the Brookside Nature Center, which is just to the east of the Gardens (closer to Kemp Mill Road).  From the parking lot there is a path and a gate that take you right into the Gardens. Please bring something to share based on the first letter of your last name:

• A-F: bread, crackers, or beverages (non-alcoholic and/or alcoholic)
  
• G-M: desserts
• N-S: entrees**
• T-Z: appetizers or salads

**Note there will be a grill available if you wish to bring hot dogs, burgers, or vegetables to grill.

If you are planning on coming just to the picnic and want to come by Metro, the station to get off at is the end of the line in Glenmont.  Call the house and we will arrange transportation from the station.
